I am completely obsessed with these tasty
little treats and they have officially replaced all other breakfast options in
my refrigerator! You cannot go wrong with the original recipe (refer
to very first blog post), but I have made a few adjustments because y'all know variety
is the spice of life!
- · Substitute almond butter for the peanut butter.
- · Add ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds)
- · Decrease coconut from 1 cup to only ½ a cup
- · Add 1-heaping teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1-cup whole oats
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/3 cup honey
1/2 peanut butter
1/2 dark chocolate chips
1-heaping teaspoon of ground cinnamon
dash of vanilla
Place all ingredients in a large mixing bow and mix thoroughly. Chill in the refrigerator 15 minutes. Roll chilled mixture into 1-inch balls. Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator.
