About Me

Hey y’all and welcome to SHINE!  My shimmery and sparkly space to share things that make me stand in awe, light up my life, and force me to close my eye and give thanks!  The inspiration behind my blog is to share my heart and my passions in an effort to encourage you, as well as learn from you, how to SHINE brighter!!  If we all shine a little brighter couldn't we light up the world?

I’m Lauren, but my friends call me Quinn.  I’m 28, northern California country girl who moved to sunny San Diego for undergraduate, then to the sweet south, to attend Duke University for graduate school, followed by the windy and wonderful Chicago, and I have now returned to the land of sweet tea, fireflies, and rocking chairs, Durham, NC.  I am exactly where I am supposed to be and most thankful for this life.

A little bit about me…

·       Faith is the most important aspect of my life, followed by my incredible family and friends!
·       Adventures and spontaneity are two of my favorite things!
·       I work as a physical therapist, and let me tell you, it is the perfect job for me!
·       I ran cross-country and track in college.  I am a gym enthusiast and love running, lifting weights, and playing sports!
·       I have been a bridesmaid in 8+ weddings.  Favorite story of being asked “how do you know the bride?” “She rear-ended my car.” :)
·       I’m a country girl!  I’m crazy for cowgirl boots and country concerts; I even raised the reserved grand champ hog for the county fair as a member of FFA.
·       Enthusiasm and excitement are my daily vitamins!  I’m full of WOOHOOs, squeals, and jumps to celebrate every moment in life!
